The film festival presents a variety of independent films that showcase the work of Native American actors, directors and producers as well as films that focus on the experiences of indigenous peoples. The festival brings new perspectives and stories from Indigenous cultures and Native American filmmakers and tries to foster critical dialogue, discussions and provide exposure to indigenous people, their issues, their concerns and their stories.
Trustus Theatre is Columbia SC’s award winning professional non-profit theatre celebrating its 30th season in 2015. Located in the historic Congaree Vista, Trustus presents the newest though provoking entertainment in a comfortable and unique setting. The film screening will be held in the 50-seat intimate Richard and Debbie Cohn Side Door Theatre. The theatre hosts a bar/concession area serving wine, beer and soft drinks for purchase for all screenings.
